Mission
Be With Jesus. Become Like Jesus. Do What Jesus Did.
Our mission is to follow Jesus together with faithfulness, humility, and sincerity. We believe the Scriptures guide and shape our lives, that God’s grace sustains us, and that faith is meant to be lived out in meaningful relationships. As a church with deep roots in our community, we seek to honor the faith that has been faithfully passed down while remaining attentive to the work God continues to do among us today. Through worship, prayer, learning, and service, we desire to grow in love for God and for our neighbors, trusting that God uses ordinary people to reflect His love and advance His purposes in the world.

Our Beliefs
At Conway Baptist Church, our beliefs are rooted in the historic Christian faith and grounded in the authority of Scripture. Our beliefs shape our worship, guide our teaching, and influence our lives on a daily basis.
Core Beliefs
God
We believe God the Father rules over all creation with wisdom, power, and love. He cares for the world and guides the course of human history according to His purposes. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are adopted as His children, experiencing His fatherly care and guidance in our lives.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human. Jesus lived in perfect obedience to the will of God and was without sin. Through His death on the cross, He gave His life as a substitute to redeem people from sin. He was raised bodily from the dead, appeared to His disciples, and ascended into heaven, where He now reigns at the right hand of God as the one mediator between God and humanity. Jesus will return in power and glory to judge the world and complete His redemptive work. He now lives in all believers as their present and living Lord.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, working in the world and in the lives of believers. He inspired the authors of Scripture, helps us understand God’s truth, and points us to Christ. The Spirit convicts of sin, leads people to salvation, and brings new life to those who believe. He unites believers into the body of Christ, shapes our character, comforts and empowers us, and gives gifts for serving God and others. The Holy Spirit also assures us of God’s promises and guides the church in worship, mission, and daily life.
Mankind
We believe humanity is God’s special creation, made in His image as male and female, reflecting the goodness of His design. God created people with moral freedom, but through disobedience sin entered the human story and has affected every person. Because of sin, we are separated from God and in need of His grace. Only through God’s grace can people be restored to right relationship with Him and live according to His purposes. Every person, of every race, bears God’s image and is worthy of dignity, respect, and Christian love, for Christ gave His life for all.
Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s work of redeeming the whole person and is offered freely to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through His death, Jesus secured eternal redemption for those who believe. Salvation includes new life in Christ, forgiveness of sin, growth in holiness, and the promise of future glory. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Scripture
We believe the Holy Bible is God’s Word, written by human authors under divine inspiration, and is God’s revelation of Himself to us. Scripture is fully true and trustworthy, providing guidance for faith and life and pointing us to God’s plan of salvation. The Bible is the final authority for what we believe and how we live, and all of Scripture ultimately bears witness to Jesus Christ, who stands at the center of God’s revelation.
